Kinks Discography
The Kinks legacy stretches from the naive and raucous Early Era (1963-66), through their Golden Age (1967-72). This lead into arguably their most creative Theatrical Spell (1973-76). The Kinks Resurgence (1977-84) saw them headlining their biggest tours and biggest hits in the USA. The following years saw the Kinks in Decline (85-96) seeing both album and concert sales fall. Induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and salutations from a new generation of musicians (the Britpop crowd in particular) could not stop their decline and the band finally split up in 1996. In addition to their Studio Albums, the Kinks have left a series of Live Albums documenting their onstage performances.
